 Dear Families,
     We will be wrapping up our "Testing Season" this week with the final reading and writing test beginning tomorrow on Monday, May 20. This test is pretty time consuming for students this young. It will possibly take us a few days to finish. We will continue to allow shorter testing times and more breaks along with gum chewing:) The deadline is this Friday. So please try to have your child on time and present all week so we can have a great finish for everyone. When students are absent it is more difficult to give them the same breaks and students do not get the same quiet areas because everyone else could be finished. It's more challenging and could effect their score because of the limitations we have in the classroom. We want to end strong! Thank you for your understanding. 
   The Track Meet was another success, in spite of the weather:) Thank you for all families who were able to come and cheer on Lincoln and support our schools.
     We have several important end of the year dates coming up in May and June listed below so mark your calendars:)

Mrs. Abbott's Dream Team Dear Families,  (Below is a note from Mcelroy about the cast party on Monday)      WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUR FOURTH GRADE DID A GREAT JOB WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE AND HAVE EARNED A SPECIAL “CAST PARTY”.       MONDAY, APRIL 15, ALL FOURTH GRADE WILL WATCH A MUSICAL VIDEO AND ARE WELCOME TO BRING A SNACK, A CLEAR DRINK (MUST LOOK LIKE WATER) AND A PILLOW.      PLEASE HELP YOUR CHILD REMEMBER THIS SPECIAL EVENT.  Unfortunately, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CALL HOME IF THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN. Welcome to Mrs. Abbott’s Dream Team Dear Students, Here is an update: I added a new topic in GC called Mystery Science Mini-Lesson. There are videos and you can also respond in your Science journal or create a Google Doc and share it with me. If you need extra reading material you can go to Epic in Symbaloo.
