Welcome to Mrs. Abbott’s Dream Team! Dear Families, Our Halloween party will be on Thurs. Oct. 31st in the afternoon. The party will be from 1:30-2:30. The parade will start at 3:20. The Halloween committee who signed up at our Back-to-School Night has begun the planning process. They are putting together snacks, games, and activities. However, you are welcome to send in extra treats if you want to. Thank you:) Our class is participating in the Junior Achievement program again this year. The focus is on community business and the economy. It's a terrific program and we have a wonderful representative this year! Welcome to Mrs. Abbott’s Dream Team! Dear Families, The 4th grade scheduled a new field trip to the Kalamazoo Valley Museum on Nov. 19th for a Rube Goldberg Experience. We will leave Lincoln at 8:45 and return at 2:00. Please let me know if you would like to be a chaperone. The cost is $2. We will have some room on the bus if you aren't able to drive yourself or carpool with other parents. A note was sent home today and should be in your child's folder. Google Classroom update. I invited all guardians this week. You should receive a summary each week of some activities your child is doing in GC. I have uploaded a screenshot example of the summary. I am explaining in a little more detail at conferences how to interpret the summary and the intent of GC for 4th graders. I really need to emphasize to everyone that the summary has a heading that says “missing” or “due”. The assignments are...

Each student in our class is working hard at setting "smart goals" and striving for a Growth Mindset. I look forward to meeting with the rest of the students and parents this next week:) Google Classroom update. I will begin inviting guardians into GC. Welcome to Mrs. Abbott’s Dream Team! Dear Families, Thank you to all the parents who are able to send in money for Laps for Lincoln. Our class had amazing collections for Lincoln School! It was wonderful to see all the families come out to support such an amazing tradition. We can't thank you enough. The Student-Led Conferences begin this next Thursday, Oct. 10th. and will continue into the following week. I look forward to meeting with students and parents.
